Hounyeh Kim
Artist Bio
Hounyeh Kim (b. Seoul, South Korea) is a visual artist working across drawing, print, and installation. Raised between Korea and the United States, she studied literature in Seoul before pursuing fine art in the U.S., a dual background that continues to shape her way of thinking and working.
Kim’s practice is rooted in stillness, slowness, and attention. Rather than narrating a single story or offering a fixed meaning, her works invite viewers to spend time, to look closely, and to remain open. Through quiet, layered compositions, she cultivates a slower way of seeing.

Guided by ideas of non-duality and interconnectedness, her work holds together apparent opposites—softness and intensity, emptiness and detail. Each piece becomes less an explanation than a space of pause and reflection. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
